Since we moved to Austin we have become more and more familiar with the oddities that make Austin weird. The Cathedral of Junk is certainly weird and stands 30-feet tall in a back yard in South Austin surrounded by trees and an old suburbia. Its creator has been tweaking it for years and years trying to make it more grand and unusual. We decided finally to make the trek down to Austin’s Southland and take our model Tracy to the Cathedral of Junk to expand her model portfolio. We arrived a little later than we expected, but it was a great because as the pressure rises I become faster and better just like the 6-million dollar man. I think we only had 27 minutes but the Cathedral of Junk did not disappoint in offering us fabulous places to shoot as the sun set.
