Austin wedding resources

You’ve got the ring.  You’ve set the date at the wedding venue of your dreams in Austin.  You’ve chosen a fabulous wedding photographer to document your day.  Now what?  You need a lot more folks to make this wedding happen.  You need a wedding coordinator, a caterer, a florist, a cake baker, a DJ, oh, and a dress, of course!  As wedding photographers who have photographed hundreds of wedding in the Austin area, we are in a unique position to offer recommendations.  Cake makers just drop off their cakes on the wedding day.  Florists get there very early to set up, but they are long gone before ceremony time.  DJs mostly interact with the venue staff and probably never even see many of the other vendors on the day.   But the wedding photographers are there while the bride is getting ready.  They see the hair and makeup stylists in action.  The wedding photographer sees the florist and planners setting up the decor.  The wedding photographer is usually there until the end of the night working alongside the DJ, and they can definitely tell you which obnoxious DJs are the ones to be avoided.  Since the wedding photographers are often there all day long they will sample the caterer’s meal and most likely have a bit of wedding cake after the guests have had their fill.  There is a big difference in going to a caterer’s tasting and actually eating the food they provide at a wedding.  If anything goes wrong, you can be assured that the wedding photographers will find out about it like when the coordinator asks them to take a picture of the wedding cake before it falls over.  With all of that in mind, we would love to be a resource for you as you plan your wedding.  If it’s a florist, we can most likely show you pictures of their work and tell you if they set everything up in a timely manner.  If it’s a caterer, we can tell you how good those fajitas really were.  We know you only want the best of the best, and we’d love to help you make those connections.  Check our our preferred vendors page where you’ll find all the best wedding vendors that Austin has to offer!
