Kat and Rikk have to be one of the funnest and funniest couples we’ve ever had the privilege of photographing. They kept us cracking up at their engagement session, and their wedding certainly was no different with their equally amusing wedding party. This hilarious couple had been referred to us by the coordinator at Hamilton Twelve who is named Katy. Along with Kat’s fabulous hair and makeup artist, Katie of Kiss by Katie, there were a lot of “Katies” at this wedding! I still can’t get over the stunning florals from The Flower Girl. I have never seen such a gorgeous, whimsical arbor for the wedding ceremony. One unique Southern tradition that Kat and Rikk incorporated into their wedding was burying a bottle of bourbon a month before the ceremony. Legends differ, but it is supposed to guarantee a rain free wedding day. On the day of the wedding last October, the weather was absolutely perfect, something I know I took for granted until I had to reschedule so many because of the rain this year. So I guess it worked! After taking a swig, the bride and groom passed around the bottle. Do you think that bridesmaid enjoyed her sip of fire water? After that, the party really got started thanks to D&C Entertainment.
