How often do you get to shoot a wedding for someone with whom you went to elementary school, high school, college, were in a band, and have known for over 20 years? Not every day, that’s for sure! We knew we had to do something special, something completely over the top for Josh and his lovely bride, Michelle. Josh works at NBC in Los Angeles and so fabulously scored us tickets to the late, great Conan O’Brian Show. While we were standing in line for the show last July, Josh told us how much Michelle wanted a photo booth at their wedding. Travis looked at Josh, said “We can build you one!” So he did! It was a labor of love and it seemed to live in our living room for an eternity, which turned out to be only a month and a half, according to Travis. Top that for a wedding gift! What fun it was piling the kids in the minivan along with the photo booth in the cases Travis designed just for fitting the photo booth in the van with our kids at the same time. We drove across the country to Orange County where Josh put us up in the most fabulous hotel ever, the brand new Ayres Hotel and Spa in Mission Viejo. It was conveniently located near their venue, the charming Dove Canyon Courtyard in Trabuco Canyon. Grandma happily drove down from Southern Oregon to take the kids to Legoland while we were shooting the wedding. So not only did Josh and Michelle have the most dedicated wedding photographers, and the most awesome photo booth ever, they also had In-n-Out cater their wedding. How cool is that?
