If everything is bigger in Texas, everything is even bigger in Houston, including weddings. George and Lara’s fabulous Houston wedding did not disappoint. It was held in the Monarch Ballroom on the top floor of the Westin Galleria with amazing views of the Houston skyline all around. Lara’s flawless makeup was done by The Perfect Face and her intricate bouquet along with all the floral arrangements were by Weddings in Bloom. And the exquisite dress! They hired a van to take the whole wedding party to the Williams Waterwall for portraits. There were ice sculptures and a live video skype link to Lebanon for George’s family to watch. Most exciting of all was their film debut: George and Lara starring in their own remake of the Black Eyed Peas’ hit song Meet me Halfway. George and Lara’s videographers, KS Video Events, did a spectacular job recreating the video with George and Lara as the stars! Halfway during the reception, George and Lara told their guests they had a surprise for them and to watch the big screen on the dance floor. The guests went absolutely wild. Then they danced, and danced, and danced some more. Boy, do the Lebanese know how to party! And apparently, they do weddings even bigger in Lebanon. George and Lara had a second wedding in Lebanon a week later that had acrobats, multiple firework displays, and a camera crane for the film crew! They had invited us to come, but alas, we were already booked for that day….
