We were so looking forward to Cindi and Dwayne’s wedding after having such a blast with them during their engagement session. The lovely Rosa of Austin Wedding Planners had referred them to us, and they were going to be getting married at Chapel Dulcinea with their reception to follow at Thurman’s Mansion. As we got closer to the weekend, the chance of thunderstorms kept going up, which usually doesn’t worry us, but heavy rain can make things a bit difficult at Chapel Dulcinea. You can believe I was praying up a storm that the weather wouldn’t be terrible. God answered our prayers, and we miraculously only got a few sprinkles and a lot of fog. Their beautiful wedding was able to go off without a hitch, with a lot of help from Rosa and her team, of course. The bride and groom and almost all of their family and guests were coming in from out of town. We loved seeing how happy everyone was to be there for Cindi and Dwayne and to celebrate together with them. They were pretty excited to enjoy the authentic Texas barbeque from The Salt Lick and the rustic ambiance of Thurman’s Mansion. But the absolute highlight of the wedding was Cindi’s dance with her father. Thanks to some James Brown, we all got to witness her father’s epic dance moves. In fact, pretty much everyone on the dance floor was having an incredible time. That’s how weddings are supposed to be, and it’s such a joy to photograph them when they are. We wish Cindi and Dwayne a lifetime of happiness together and many joyous nights on the dance floor!
