Ruby’s Senior Portraits at Zilker Botanical Gardens

Ruby’s senior portrait session at Zilker Botanical Gardens marked her time at Dripping Springs High School and a creative next chapter. She loves design, art, and painting, and plans to study fashion at UT Austin after taking time to work following high school.

Zilker Botanical Gardens gave us plenty to work with, from textured stone and tall bamboo to tree branches and the pond. Moving through those varied spaces helped create a collection with different visual rhythms without needing to leave the gardens.

Texture, Greenery, and Room to Explore

The stone walls and white columns brought strong lines into the portraits, while the bamboo and dense foliage created more natural framing. Ruby also changed looks during the session, which worked nicely with the range of settings around the gardens.

Senior portraits are a good excuse to make room for the interests and direction that make this particular season of life personal. For Ruby, that meant a session with a little variety, plenty of texture, and a location that suited her creative side.
